HCMS President Kris Jones-Bartley began her career in medical practice management while in college. Studying for her BS in Chemistry, Kris worked her way through college in administrative positions in physician practices and conducting data research in the defense industry. Eventually Kris put her analytical and management skills together to assist several physicians in starting practices and through word of mouth was referred to practices struggling in need of assistance.
She recognized the need for motivated, ethical, business-minded professionals to enhance medical practice profitability and morale by alleviating stress on physicians and their staff. In 1984, Kris founded Healthcare Management Systems to provide business solutions for medical practices.
Over the last 30+ years, Kris built HCMS in to a multi-faceted medical practice management company with more than two dozen employees and clients nationwide. HCMS provides billing, management and subscription services for primary care and sub-specialty practices. Kris has personally managed every phase of a medical practice, from start-up to retirement, and including the recovery of practices “on the brink” of insolvency. Her critical thinking, candor and eye-for-detail, make Kris a valuable partner in the business of medicine.
When not in the office, Kris enjoys biking, skiing and yoga in the vineyards.
